Battle Festival are proud to bring you Fragments and Feathers exhibition that showcases the work of Battle based mosaic artist Hannah Griffiths.
The exhibition will take place at the Almonry in Battle from June 14th-28th and features her series of mosaic bird portraits.
Hannah was awarded a QEST Scholarship in 2009 to train in Venice at Orsoni, the famed producer of artisanal mosaics. Each of her birds are meticulously made from shards of glass and ceramic (Hannah describes it as painting with glass); and is framed within a beautiful vintage China plate.
Her flock of birds on show include a robin, a nuthatch, blackbirds, peacocks and a grackle, to name just a few.
