Scarecrow Competition 2024

This year’s theme: Once Upon A Time
We are hoping to see Battle come to life again. All you need to do is create a fantastic scene illustrating your favourite character or story.

Think of the tales that you may have heard at bedtime, at school, on the radio or seen on tv or at the cinema.

The choice is endless – Sleeping Beauty, The Gruffalo, The Mad Hatter, Willy Wonka, Aladdin, Puss in Boots and more.

Let your imagination take us to another place and time.
Saturday 13th July – Sunday 28th July

Open to All (incl. Community and School Groups, Businesses, etc)

Prizes for the best entries to be awarded on Sunday 28th July

The closing date for entries is Monday 17th June

Kindly supported by Graham Peters, Audrey Koop and Paula Williams (British Design British Made)

Scarecrow to be viewed in:*
Your scarecrows should be at least 2ft 6in high but no more than 5ft high (1.5 metres) and, to make the most of their time please ensure that they are well protected from the weather. Unfortunately, continuous sunshine and calm waters are not guaranteed. The committee will endeavour to keep your scarecrow safe but please check regularly to ensure that all is well on land or at sea. We hope to be ‘blown away’ by your imagination, artistry and skill.
