Writing Funny For Children: Writing workshop with Philip Ardagh

Best-selling children’s author, and Battle resident, Philip Ardagh, has won both national and international prizes, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize for his books, which makes him ideal to be presenting ‘writing funny for children’.

Described by The Independent as ‘a national treasure’ and ‘a cross between Monty Python and Dickens’ by The Guardian, Philip will be looking at everything from writing humorous picture books to those for older children. As The Independent on Sunday put it, “he can’t help writing funny”, so let him be your guide in this two-hour workshop, designed to get you putting pen to paper.
