Top of the Crops – Scarecrow Contest

Now in it’s 14th year, the Battle Festival Scarecrow Competition has a new theme – ‘Top of the Crops” – The Music Festival
for ‘Popstar’ Scarecrows. The star-struck scarecrows will complement Beautiful Battle’s Summer Flower Displays and
act as a curtain-raiser to the wonderful Battle Festival which runs for three weeks.
Alongside the colourful creations of the Yarn Bombers, our scarecrow ‘popstars’ contribute towards a festival that showcases the best summer floral displays that Battle has to offer… putting a smile on everyone’s faces!
It is hoped that at least 20 talented scarecrows will perform on the Abbey Green and in formal planted areas; in shop windows and outside business premises; and in private front gardens throughout Battle. This is the perfect way for you and your family to discover our beautiful town. There is always the occasional surprise when you find one grinning at you over the top of a hedge!
It is completely FREE to enter the competition and we will be awarding PRIZES to our favourite scarecrow entries.
